DataSource Mobility Launches “DataSource Green” to Plant Trees for Panasonic Product Purchases
DataSource Mobility is known as a trusted technology partner dedicated to minimizing the environmental impact of its business. DataSource Mobility is taking their initiative a step further, and has launched a new program called DataSource Green to focus all of their earth-friendly activities. The first major initiative of DataSource Green is to have a tree planted on behalf of customers for each Panasonic System Communications Company product purchased, including Toughbook notebooks, Professional Displays, Scanners, and more. The initial project kick off will be done in recognition of Baptist Memorial Health Care as a valued customer.
DataSource Mobility Managing Partner Bill Presler stated, “This is a partnership with global involvement and we couldn’t be more pleased. We are working with Project GreenHands, a National Geographic Green partner, to plant the trees in the most impactful and meaningful areas near the equator. We chose to launch this program in honor of our association with these two companies due to their commitment to the environment, the community and our partnership with them.”
Baptist Memorial Health Care is an award-winning health network with 14 affiliate hospitals and has provided health care in the Mid-South for 100 years. Panasonic is currently considered the 6th Greenest Company in the world. They focus their Eco Ideas initiative on innovative green production processes, recycling and reducing carbon emissions.
DataSource Green officially launched on November 1, 2012, but will be applied retroactively to all customer purchases of Panasonic business solution products going back to June 1, 2012. The program matches one for one; one tree planted for each device. To learn more about DataSource Green and Project GreenHands visit: www.datasourcemobility.com/projectgreenhands
